Tonight saw tv interior designer and camper extraordinaire, Justin Ryan, reunited with his tv and life partner Colin McAllister, after he received the least public votes and left the jungle. He had been up against Jimmy White who has made it through to the final along with Gino D’Acampo and Kim Woodburn.
Last night saw Justin overcome his fear of bugs when he spent the night in a cage. While his camp mates dined on a feast of emu, prepared by Gino, Justin ate something tasteless but full of texture (his words, not mine!). Later, while his camp mates slept, he fought off an invasion of cockroaches and an abundance of various other creepy crawlies. Justin had agreed to the secret trial in order to secure the works for a full Irish (or a full English as the case may be). The task was secret in the sense that the campmates were unaware of Justin’s reasons for going to the cage. He was unable to tell them why and what was at stake because if he did, he would have forfeited the feast!
Having survived the night relatively unscathed, the food was provided and served as a farewell breakfast for fellow campmate Stuart Manning who was voted off, losing to Jimmy White.
I think this years jungle buddies have been a really close knit group of celebs. I’ve really enjoyed watching them – sad to say!! There’s been a real camraderie in the camp. Wonder who’ll be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle??? My money’s still on Gino but they’re all winners
