Katy Perry opened tonight’s EMAs in Berlin and didn’t she look stunning!! Can’t believe Russell Brand has snagged her, but that’s a whole other story…
It’s not the first time that Berlin have hosted the awards, which goes against the MTV rule of a city only every hosting the show once. The exception has been made to mark the 20th anniversary of east meets west; the falling of the Berlin Wall.
The party kicked off in style with a performance from Green Day. Katy herself also performed a medley of songs, including a unique caberet style version of Beyonce’s Halo and Kings of Leon’s Use Somebody.
Most widely nominated acts this evening are Lady GaGa and Kings of Leon. The evening promises to be full of surprises! Further reports will follow later
