GOSH spoke exclusively to comedian Lee Evans ahead of Channel 4’s Comedy Gala.

The Comedy Gala at London’s O2 Arena is benefitting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
What do you do to stay fit?
I used to run. I was consistent and would run for three miles a day. I did it for a whole week but ended up so far from home at the end of it I had to get a cab back.
What are your top tips for looking and feeling good?
My top tips for feeling and looking good are stay in bad and avoid looking at mirrors.
Have you ever had to stay in hospital? How was it?
I was in hospital this morning. I’m on day release today. They gave me lots of medication, told me to behave and sent me on my way.
What motivated you to get involved with the gala?
Me and my wife are involved in a number of children’s charities and we do as much as we can.
We have family who have children who have needed a lot of hospital care. Some have needed major attention like lung transplants so we do are bit to help them out now.
Do you have any connections to GOSH at all?
I go up to the hospital sometimes to see the patients. I like to try and do my bit to make them feel better.
What are you thoughts on the comedy gala benefitting GOSH?
I think it fantastic. It’s just fantastic to be able to help out in this way. It’s a way for us all to be able to give something back.
