Poor old Olly Murs. His twin brother is getting hitched this w/e and X Factor bosses aren’t allowing him to attend the wedding!! Olly was due to be best man and is said to be “gutted” at not being allowed time off from the show to attend. Bosses have said that the distance between the studios and the wedding venue mean that Olly wouldn’t be able to travel between the two in time for the show on Saturday evening.
The wedding has obviously been planned for months in advance and no one could have predicted that this would happen. It’s just sheer bad luck. I’m sure some people would say that his brother’s wedding is more important than competing on the show. Imagine having to tell your twin that you wouldn’t be going to their wedding because you had a prior engagement?!?! Not an easy call to make… Hope it doesn’t upset his performance on Saturday night.
This week the remaining 4 contestants are rumoured to be performing Michael Jackson songs along with a song of their own personal choice. Michael’s sister Janet is performing at the results show on Sunday night and will also critique the semi finalists on their performance. Also performing on the night is the quirky Lady GaGa.
Should be a night to remember!
